The Future of Online Gambling

Online gambling partnerships are signaling a whole new era of online gambling.  Yahoo has already opened the door into the online gambling arena for Web 2.0 companies with its introduction of a poker portal on Yahoo.  The Yahoo poker portal has shown the industry just how successful incorporating online gambling casino features can be.

AOL is now following suit.  AOL announced in July its intent to enter into the market of online gambling.  AOL has paired up with a large sports betting company and plan to offer sports betting options to AOL customers.  It seems that AOLS move has predicted the future of online gambling.

As the United States works on regulating the online gambling industry and making online casinos legal in the United States more and more Web 2.0 companies will be joining in on the online casino profits.  There are more gamblers in the United States than there are anywhere else in the globe and once online gambling becomes legal and acceptable the gambling industry is sure to book.  Companies like Google, Face Book, MySpace, YouTube and more are sure to join AOL and Yahoo in the online casino arena.

It will be incredibly easy for these companies to join in on the action.  After all, software developers have already created all of the casino software.  All that these companies have to do is purchase the software.  Yahoo already did it with poker.  AOL is doing it now with sports betting applications.  What will stop the rest of the Web 2.0 world?

These companies are sure to be successful in the online gambling industry because they are able to reach huge numbers of people and will be advertising to all of these people.  Vegas-style online casinos can never reach as large of an audience as Yahoo or AOL and therefore Web 2.0 companies are sure to take over the casino gaming world.
